Provincial leaders check the free water supply for fruit trees

ABO - Chairman of Tien Giang People's Committee Le Van Huong and leaders of Tien Giang Irrigation Works Exploit One Member Limited Company has just checked the free water supply for farmers to water fruit trees in Binh Phan commune and Binh Phuc Nhut commune of Cho Gao district and Dong Son commune of Go Cong Tay district.

From mid-March until now, Cho Gao district has directed the authorities of Binh Phuc Nhut commune and Binh Phan commune to organize four points to receive fresh water from barges carrying fresh water in Dong Thap province to serve agricultural production in drought and salty season.

Thanks to the free fresh water as well as and timely supply, 750 hectares of dragon fruit and 350 hectares of other crops were rescued in these communes. The supply of fresh water for dragon fruit in Dong Son commune was also highly effective.

In addition, comrade Le Van Huong also visited the dragon fruit specialized area in Cho Gao district.
