To strengthen inspection, control and prevention of Covid-19 epidemic, Chairman of the PPC urged

ABO – On April 16, Chairman of Tien Giang People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong and Vice Chairman of the PPC Tran Van Dung co-chaired the online meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control to inspect the implementation of Prime Minister's Directive 16 on the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control Covid- 19.

According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Tien Giang province belongs to the low-risk group with Covid-19 epidemic. However, despite the low risk, the possibility of infection is still very high, therefore, it is necessary to continue implementing the Prime Minister's Directive 15.

At the meeting, members of the Provincial Steering Committee discussed the plan to implement Covid-19 disease prevention and control measures after 15 days of implementing Prime Minister's Directive 16.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Van Huong praised the sense of community responsibility of the entire people of the province as well as the active participation of the entire political system, the example of officials and public servants, officials in implementing the social isolation to prevent and control Covid-19.
In order to continue to maintain the achievements in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic over the past time, after the end of social isolation, Tien Giang province continues to implement the Prime Minister's Directive 15 on real drastic measures current peak of the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control campaign.

Comrade Le Van Huong requested: Departments, committees, branches, unions at the provincial level and the People's Committees of districts continue to well implement the social gap. In particular, it is recommended that people only leave the house when necessary and must wear a mask together with implementation of prevention and control recommendations. Do not gather more than 10 people outside schools, hospitals, offices and keep a minimum distance of 2 m in public places; Stop all meeting activities, events gathered over 20 people per room. Stop organizing festivals and unnecessary activities including: Welcoming tourist visitors; activities for recreation, entertainment, beauty, cosmetic surgery, massage, Internet access points and public electronic games, etc…

It is suggested that religious establishments continue to stop organizing religious services and gatherings of 20 or more people. To reorganize the operation of public transport passengers with fewer trips and must comply with the recommendations of the health sector to prevent and control Covid-19.

Head of agencies, units, businesses owners, owners of production and business establishments are responsible for meeting epidemic prevention and control requirements as recommended by the health sector.

Chairman of the PPC requested the Provincial Department of Health to strengthen measures and solutions to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic, preventing cross-contamination at health facilities through channeling, medical examination and treatment; making mandatory medical declarations; tightly managing restrict visits, meeting and providing services from outside to the treatment facilities; adequately preparing resources to ensure proactive measures to prevent and control Covid-19 epidemic in the area.

With the determination to protect the achievement of the COvid-19 prevention and control, Chairman of the PPC instructed the provincial officials, public servants and officials to set an example in implementing Prime Minister's Directive 15.

Departments, committees, branches, unions at the provincial level and People's Committees at district level continue the inspection, supervision and apply strong sanctions to strictly handle violations according to their functions and tasks.
