VN named among top post-pandemic travel destinations

ABO/VGP - "Gorgeous” beaches and “insanely good food” make Viet Nam a great post Covid-19 destination, says New York-based travel magazine Travel + Leisure.

Viet Nam and the Philippines are the only two Southeast Asian representatives which were listed in the 17 must-to-go destinations in the world after the Covid-19 crisis ends.

As Viet Nam is continuing to suspend international flights and halting entry for all foreigners as a measure to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus, the leading U.S. travel site urges its readers to make travel plans to visit the country soon after the pandemic passes.

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in central province of Quang Binh is one of favorite tourist destinations in Viet Nam.

The Travel+Leisure list also included many famous tourist destinations around the world such as Rome in Italy, Australia, London in the U.K., Paris in France, Mexico.    

Earlier, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, tourism activities have been shifted to online tourism. The world’s largest cave, Hang Son Dong (Son Dong Cave) in central Viet Nam’s Phong Nha-Ke Bang national park was one of ten best virtual tours of the world’s natural wonders.
