16 more returnees from overseas infected with COVID-19

ABO/VOV - Vietnam has confirmed 16 more imported cases of coronavirus, bringing the country’s tally to 1,281, the Ministry of Health reported late on November 15.
All the new cases are Vietnamese citizens who returned from Russia between October 31 and November 11, the ministry said in its 18.00hrs update.
They were all quarantined in Khanh Hoa, Hung Yen and Hoa Binh provinces as soon as they landed at airports in Vietnam, posing no risk to the community, said the ministry.

They tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on November 13 and are now receiving treatment at hospitals in Hanoi, Khanh Hoa and Hoa Binh provinces.
As of 18.00pm on November 15, Vietnam has recorded a total of 1,281 coronavirus cases, including 590 imported cases and 691 locally transmitted cases.
As many as 1,103 patients have recovered from the disease, making up 86%. The death toll caused by the virus remains at 35, mostly in Da Nang city, the country’s largest coronavirus hotspot.
Currently, 143 active patients are receiving treatment at health facilities across the country and they are all in stable health condition. Of the figure, 39 patients have tested negative at least once.
More than 15,000 people have been placed in quarantine for medical observation nationwide.
