One new imported COVID-19 case reported on December 19

ABO/NDO - A 40-year-old Turkish woman became Vietnam’s only new COVID-19 case over the last 24 hours, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
The new case brought the national tally of COVID-19 to 1,411, the committee reported.

The new patient arrived at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport from Turkey on December 17 and was immediately put into quarantine in the capital city.
She tested positive for the novel coronavirus and sent to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No.2 for treatment on December 19.
On the same day, three more COVID-19 patients were given the all clear, raising the total recoveries to 1,269. The fatalities remain at 35.
Among patients still under treatment, ten have tested negative for the virus once, six twice and four thrice.
