Ho Chi Minh City to host the first festival on Vietnamese spices
ABO/NDO – The first festival on Vietnamese spices will take place at the Landmark 81 Building, in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City from April 28 to May 1.
The Business Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Products, the Food and Foodstuff Association of Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Association of Fish Sauce and the Vietnam Culinary Conservation, Research and Development Centre held a seminar on the spice economy with perspectives of businessmen and announced the festival themed “The quintessence of Vietnamese spices”.

The festival will feature over 50 pavilions displaying more than 1,000 kinds of spice including plants, tubers and spice seeds from across the country.
A wide variety of attractive activities will also be held during the festival including performances by chefs, exchanges with culinary experts, a cooking show and exhibitions on unique fancy spices.
Discussing the spice economy, the delegates emphasised that Vietnam's agriculture and spice production industry is undergoing an impressive transformation, making Vietnam an important source for the world.
The enterprises should focus on developing their brands as well as strengthening their investment in international standard production lines and factories to provide products with high added value and good quality.
