Overseas Vietnamese in France rejoice at fatherland's development achievements

ABO/NDO – Overseas Vietnamese in Nice City on the south-eastern coast of France have expressed their delight at the robust development of the fatherland over in recent years during their meeting with Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang on May 1.

At the meeting, President of the Vietnamese Student Association in Nice City Le Minh Hoan reported that, with the support of the Vietnamese Embassy in France, the Association has worked closely with the Union of Vietnamese Students in France (UEVF) to successfully organise practical programmes and activities to strengthen the solidarity of the Overseas Vietnamese community in the city.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Tinh, a representative from the Association of Vietnamese Alumni in Nice, said that Vietnamese students and young people in Nice always actively participate in community activities and rejoice at the motherland's development achievements in recent years.

For his part, Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang stressed that great national unity is always among top priorities of the Vietnamese Party and State.

He highly appreciated Overseas Vietnamese communities for their significant contributions to Vietnam’s economic, political, cultural and social development in recent years.

He briefed the attendants on Vietnam’s notable achievements, especially in foreign policy, international integration, and the COVID-19 vaccination campaign.

He said that the Vietnamese Embassy in France has hosted many activities to strengthen Vietnam's cooperation with French localities in various fields, especially economics and culture.

He affirmed that the embassy will coordinate with functional agencies of the host country to facilitate administrative procedures and paperwork in order to create favourable conditions for Overseas Vietnamese to live and work in France.

He expressed his hope that Overseas Vietnamese will promote patriotism and solidarity to support the development of the host country while also making further contributions to the motherland.
