The drive is being held from November 2022 to February 2023 in more than 40 provinces and cities across the country. It will officially open at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology on December 18.
In addition to voluntary blood donation events, the organising board will present gifts to blood recipients who are living in difficult circumstances.
Since it was first launched in 2009, the Red Sunday campaign has been expanded to 55 cities and provinces nationwide, mobilising around 45,000-60,000 units of blood each year.
It has received increasingly enthusiastic participation from hundreds of thousands of people of various age groups, regions, ethnicities and social backgrounds across the country.
