Prime Minister visits Dien Bien ethnic boarding school
ABO/NDO- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and presented gifts to the teachers and students of the Dien Bien Ethnic Boarding School as part of his working trip to Dien Bien Province on April 8.
The school was founded in 1956 and currently has 17 classes with 600 students and 66 teachers and staff members.
Over the past 67 years, the school’s students have recorded many impressive achievements at provincial and national academic contests.
Speaking before teachers and students, the government leader expressed his delight at the school’s accomplishments and urged the local authorities to maintain the boarding school model for ethnic students.

He noted that ethnic students usually live in remote areas with many disadvantages, therefore the boarding school is evidence that no one is left behind.
According to the PM, boarding schools at three levels must be maintained and expanded, no matter how difficult it is.
He asked the teachers of the Dien Bien Ethnic Boarding School to be examples for the students to follow, while students should study well and have aspirations to contribute to the nation.
The head of government expressed his belief that by building on its tradition, the school’s teachers and students will score even greater achievements in the future.
