Vietnam General Confederation of Labour works in Tien Giang province
ABO/NDO- On April 20, a delegation led by the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) Nguyen Dinh Khang, had a working session with the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee, on the implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021, on renewing the organisation and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
The delegation also worked with Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee on organising Trade Union Congress at all levels, progressing to Tien Giang Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term and the project of building trade union institutions in Tien Giang.
At the meeting, the Chairman of the Labour Confederation of Tien Giang Province Le Minh Hung said that up to now, Tien Giang has 935 out of 1,355 trade unions at the grass-roots level, that has held congresses, and completing the congress before May 31, 2023.
For organisations of the district-level Labour Confederation, the branch trade union and the equivalent, the Labour Confederation of Tien Giang province directs the organisation of the congress to be completed before July 31, 2023.
Addressing the meeting, Nguyen Dinh Khang acknowledged and highly appreciated Tien Giang province promulgating the action plan document and implementing the Politburo’s Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021, on renewing the organisation and operation of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation.
He wished that the local Party Committee would continue to cooperate to develop trade union members and establish grassroots trade unions in the area. He urged the Labour Confederation of Tien Giang province to review and rearrange industry unions in the locality.
The delegation works with Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee.
