Work starts on social housing project for workers in Hai Phong
ABO/NDO- The Hai Phong city management board of the economic zone and the Pegatron Vietnam Co., Ltd, held a ground-breaking ceremony on May 30 to commence the construction of a housing project for workers at the company.
With a total investment of 68.3 million USD, the project will cover 5.04 hectares with 10 buildings, which are designed to accommodate up to 10,000 workers.

The first five buildings of the project are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Le Trung Kien, head of the Hai Phong City management board of economic zones, hailed that the project plays an important role in the socio-economic development of Hai Phong City.
The project is located in the 48-hectare area, which was approved by the city’s authorities for social housing for low-income people and workers.
The area is designed to provide accommodation for 35,000 people, including 14,000 low-income people and 21,000 workers at Dinh Vu industrial park.
