Art programme commemorates late Party General Secretary Le Duan

ABO/NDO- An art programme will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on July 9 to commemorate the 37th death anniversary of Party General Secretary Le Duan (1986-2023).

The event will gather popular singers and artists from the Military Zone 7 Art Troupe and the Bong Sen Music and Dance Troupe.

The artists will bring to the stage 14 performances, reviving the life and revolutionary career of the late Party chief, as well as the strong attachment toward him from people in the south and Quang Tri province.

Comrade Le Duan was born Le Van Nhuan on April 7, 1907, to a family of patriotic workers in Bich La Village in Trieu Dong Commune, Trieu Phong District, Quang Tri Province.

He was a resilient communist, an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh, and an excellent leader of our Party and people, who had devoted his life to the national revolutionary cause and national reunification.
During his 60 years of revolutionary career, serving key positions for 26 years as First Secretary and then General Secretary of the Party Central Committee, General Secretary Le Duan arduously worked for the Party and nation, to gain independence and reunification for the country and freedom, prosperity and happiness for the people.
