Winners announced in writing contest on COVID-19 prevention and control in Ho Chi Minh City
ABO/NDO- A ceremony was held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 8 to announce and honour the winners of a writing contest on COVID-19 prevention and control in the city.
The event was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen.
Most of the articles highlighted the kindness and beauty of the soul of people in Ho Chi Minh City as well as the resilient and dedicated contributions of doctors, nurses, and janitors in hospitals, especially field hospitals, to restore the health of patients.

Many articles recognise the persistent activities of the whole political system at all levels to help people in the city overcome all difficulties.
In addition, there are articles paying respect to those who have passed away during the pandemic, including victims and the volunteers who went to dangerous areas to help save patients.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen said the winning works contain great humanitary significance.
This is a sincere thanks from the organisers and a recognition for later history, he added.
The organising board presented 36 collective prizes and 48 individual prizes to units and individuals who actively participated in the campaign and submitted good quality entries.
