Dancing contest promotes building of smoke-free society
ABO/NDO- The Vietnam Women’s Association, in coordination with the Fund for Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms under the Ministry of Health, held a ceremony in Hanoi on October 6 to launch a dance contest entitled ‘Smoke-free Dance’.
The contest is open for both individuals and groups without age or gender restrictions across 63 cities and provinces nationwide.
The entrants are requested to choreograph a dance and feature it in a video lasting between 30 to 60 seconds. The video should popularise the harm harmful effects of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, shisha and other new tobacco products, in a humorous and easy-to-understand way.

The video must use the song ‘No Smoking’, which was provided by the Fund for Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms, as the theme song.
Entries should be submitted by email to cwdnc.vwu@gmail.com, before November 5, 2023.
The contest was launched to raise public awareness and call for joint action to prevent the harmful effects of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, shisha and other new tobacco products; thus promoting the building of a smoke-free environment.
It also aims to call for the support of policymakers in developing and promulgating regulations to prevent the use of tobacco, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco, shisha and other new tobacco products.
