Poster contest on Vietnam People's Army launched
ABO/NDO- The General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army launched a poster contest on March 29 to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (1944- 2024).
The contest aims to popularise the contributions and achievements of the Vietnamese armed forces and people in the national construction and defence, honour the images of “Uncle Ho's soldiers”, and inspire national pride and patriotism among military officers, soldiers, and the Vietnamese people in general.
The contest is open for both professional and amateur artists who are Vietnamese citizens or Overseas Vietnamese abroad.

Contestants are requested to create posters reflecting the glorious traditions and great contributions of the Vietnam People's Army in the struggle for national liberation, as well as its achievements in building a revolutionary, regular, elite and modern army.
The entries, which should measure 54cm x 79cm each, should also clearly demonstrate the functions of the Vietnamese army, its close attachment with the people, and its close links to the people.
Each entry must include the text “Celebrating 80th Founding Anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024) and the 35th Anniversary of the National Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - December 22, 2024)”.
Submissions should be sent to No. 4 Ly Nam De, Hang Ma Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, or via email vhvnquandoi@gmail.com no later than July 30, 2024.
