Press Centre commemorating Dien Bien Phu Victory opens

ABO/NDO- The Ministry of Information and Communications organised a ceremony in Dien Bien Phu City, Dien Bien Province, on May 5 to open the Press Centre marking the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The opening ceremony was attended by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, and Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee for the commemoration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 2023 – 2025 period; Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Head of the Steering Committee; Mua A Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee; and Le Thanh Do, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee andChairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien Province; together with representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and reporters from domestic and foreign news and press agencies.

The Press Centre aims to create favourable conditions for domestic and international reporters to report on the ceremony to celebrate Dien Bien Phu Victory and proactively provide information from the Organising Committee about the ceremony, while also ensuring information safety and security to contribute to the successful organisation of the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

In addition, the centre will also receive registration and issue activity cards for reporters to attend and report on the ceremony; provide complete and timely information and images about the ceremony; and provide audio and visual signals for military parades, parades, and sideline activities during the event.
The Press Centre headquarters are located on the 3rd floor of Dien Bien Province Cultural and Convention Centre.

The centre will be open from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm on May 6 and from 6:45 am to 6:00 pm on May 7.
