KfW Office Director awarded for contributions to Vietnamese agriculture
ABO/NDO- Anette Haller, Director of Germany’s KfW Development Bank’s Office in Vietnam, was awarded an insignia on July 31 for her contributions to agriculture and rural development in Vietnam.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Quoc Tri hailed that since she took office in July 2021, Haller has made positive contributions in managing and building strategic vision for cooperation project programmes between KfW and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
She has also been active in fostering the implementation of German-funded projects in forestry, sustainable management of natural resources, biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and disaster prevention and control in Vietnam, he added.

He noted that the insignia is the highest accolade of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in recognition of diplomats and international experts who have made significant contributions to the development of Vietnam's agricultural sector.
For her part, Haller expressed her honour and pride at receiving the accolade. She said that after more than 4 years in Vietnam, she has learnt more about the country and people of Vietnam, not only in her role as KfW Office Director but also from the perspective of a tourist.
She hailed that Vietnam is one of the leading countries in integrating agricultural and forestry development with environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.
