First 380 billion VND allocated to Typhoon Yagi-hit localities
ABO/NDO- On September 10, the first 380 billion VND (15.4 million USD) was allocated to localities affected by Typhoon Yagi following the launch of a campaign to raise funds in support of typhoon victims.
According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), the eight provinces of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen and Hoa Binh will each receive 30 billion VND.

The provinces of Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Lai Chau, Son La, Dien Bien, Tuyen Quang and Bac Kan will receive 15 billion VND each, while Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, Nam Dinh and Ha Giang are allocated 5 billion VND each.
Earlier, at the launch of fundraising in support of those hit by Typhoon Yagi, agencies, enterprises, organisations, individuals and localities registered to donate a total of 407 billion VND (16.5 million USD).
Donations can be made via wire transfer to the VFF’s bank accounts or in cash at the VFF headquarters in Hanoi.
