Awards presented to winners of writing contest on exemplary models in society

ABO/NDO- The Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People’s Army) Newspaper held an award ceremony in Hanoi on November 6 to honour the winners of the 15th ‘Simple and Noble Examples’ writing contest.

Colonel Tran Hoang Tien won the grand prize for his writing on General Pham Van Tra, former Minister of Defence.

The organising board also presented 34 other prizes to the best entries, including three A, eight B, 11 C, and 12 consolation prizes.

The winning entries were selected from nearly 1,000 submissions by journalists and writers from across the country.

In their writings, the authors honoured hundreds of exemplary soldiers, former soldiers, and war veterans who have taken practical actions and contributed to all areas of social life.

Among the characters featured in the writings are generals and war veterans who have experienced the battlefield, along with many exemplary officers and soldiers who are devotedly working day and night for the peace and happiness of the people across the country.
