Fatherland Front President Do Van Chien meets with voters in Nghe An
ABO/NDO- Politburo member Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, joined a delegation of National Assembly deputies of Nghe An Province and provincial leaders to hold a meeting with voters in Con Cuong District on December 9.
At the meeting, voters of Bong Khe Commune, Chi Khe Commune, and Con Cuong Town were briefed on the outcomes of the recent 8th session of the 15th National Assembly, during which the legislators passed 18 laws and 21 resolutions, while providing initial opinions on 10 draft laws.
The VFF President informed the participants on the national socio-economic situation in 2024.

He stated the thorough preparations are being made for the upcoming 16th National Assembly and directing preparations for elections of deputies to all-level People's Councils for 2026-2031 tenure — an event of great significance aiming to facilitate further innovative achievements of the country.
He highly appreciated development achievements gained by the authorities and people of Nghe An Province, especially those of Con Cuong District.
Voters at the event raised their questions and opinions on the care for local Dan Lai ethnic people, the reclamation of forestry land and farming land, and the development of forestry-based economy. The voters’ queries will be collected and submitted to the next working session of the National Assembly.
On the occasion, the VFF leader handed over 10 social houses worth 600 million VND to 10 poor households in Bong Khe Commune. He also presented 50 gifts to disadvantaged workers in Con Cuong District.
