The Green Urban Project is funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Vietnam Environment Administration is the lead agency, with the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Rural Development acting as a co-implementing body.
The project aims to strengthen institutional capacity in environmental protection and climate resilience in tier-II cities.
The launch event was attended by project management representatives, international organisations, NGOs, press agencies, environmental experts, and a large number of photographic artists.
Nguyen Trung Thang stated: “I firmly believe that these photographic artworks will spark a green awareness and inspire the community to join hands in protecting the environment, starting from the smallest changes in daily life. This contest is not only an artistic platform, but also a call to every citizen to capture, share and spread green moments and green actions – so that together we can shape a green future for our planet.
We hope to receive enthusiastic participation from individuals, organisations, especially young people and the environmentally conscious community nationwide. Let each photograph tell an inspiring story, so that 'green' is not just a colour, but a way of life.”
This meaningful environmental initiative has attracted enthusiastic interest from renowned photographers, reflecting their love for and sense of responsibility towards the planet.
