Winners of Shining Vietnamese Values Contest 2023–2025 awarded

ABO/NDO- On June 19, Sai Gon Giai Phong (Sai Gon Liberation) Newspaper held a ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2025), announce the results and present awards for the Shining Vietnamese Values Contest 2023–2025, and launch the 2025–2026 edition of the contest.

Jointly organised by Sai Gon Liberation Newspaper and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the contest aims to honour collectives and individuals across various fields whose actions, initiatives, or effective solutions have had a positive impact.

Innovative models, research projects, and creative works that showcase Vietnamese intellect at national and international arenas, as well as actions and solutions that generate meaningful social impact, have been widely promoted.

Delegates participated in the official launch ceremony of the Shining Vietnamese Values Contest 2025–2026.

Journalist Nguyen Khac Van, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in charge of Sai Gon Liberation Newspaper and head of the contest organisers, stated: “Our society has many individuals who choose to give as their way of life; many also work tirelessly to bring honour to the nation and uphold the noble values of the Vietnamese people. The spreading of these acts of kindness is the very inspiration behind the contest, and its enduring mission.”

Over the past two years, through four competition phases, more than 600 entries (written articles and video clips) have been submitted in various journalistic forms including reportage, feature writing, reflections and interviews. Of these, 263 works were published, reaching over 2 million readers and helping to spread positive values and highlight outstanding contributors across diverse sectors.

Out of the hundreds of entries, 32 outstanding works (19 articles and 13 video clips) were selected for awards in various categories, including: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 26 consolation prizes.

In addition, the Binh Dinh Provincial Youth Union received the award for the most contest submissions, with a total of 70 entries. The total prize value exceeded 1 billion VND.

On this occasion, Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union also launched the Shining Vietnamese Values Contest 2025–2026, in celebration of the 101st anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – 2026) and the 51st anniversary of the first issue of Sai Gon Giai Phong (May 5, 1975 –2026).
