Viet Nam condemns flag burning by Cambodian extremists

Viet Nam has lodged a solemn protest against Khmer  Kampuchea Krom extremists for organizing illegal demonstration and burning Vietnamese flag in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on August 12, 2014, said Foreign Ministry’s Spokesman Le Hai Binh.

The aforesaid acts by Khmer Kampuchea Krom extremists are perverse, not appropriate to the fine traditional friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Cambodia, deliberately offend the sentiments of the Vietnamese people.

Viet Nam demands Cambodia strictly judge the extremists and take necessary measures to prevent similar acts in the future, Mr. Binh said.
