Viet Nam Days in Netherlands starts today

The Viet Nam Days in the Netherlands is scheduled for September 23 and 26, with a message that Viet Nam stands ready to integrate deeply into the international community and beef up the bilateral ties in a more practical and efficient manner.

Nguyen Quoc Dung, Head of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry's Economic Affairs Department has briefed the press about the upcoming event.

Viet Nam and the Netherlands established a strategic partnership for adaptation to climate change and water management in 2010 and set up a strategic partnership on agriculture and food security this June.

According to Mr. Dung, the preparation work has been conducted since mid 2013 with the participation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development,the  People’s Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Phuc, Dong Nai, Embassies of Viet Nam and the Netherlands.

The event will coincide with the visit of Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai to the Netherlands.

The Viet Nam Days in the Netherlands will consist of an art performance “The perfume and beauty of Viet Nam” and an exhibition “Vietnamese space” in La Haye and Amsterdam on September 23 and 26, respectively.

In addition, the Viet Nam-the Netherlands economic cooperation forum will be held on September 24.
