Japanese senior official welcomed in Hanoi

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received Professor Kozo Yoshida, Director General of the Japan National Personnel Authority, in Hanoi on November 6 during his working visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed the importance of the Vietnam–Japan strategic partnership for economic development, noting that Japan was one of the biggest investors in the country.

He also praised Japan for its support for the ongoing reforms in the Vietnamese civil service system with a focus on human resources development.

The Deputy PM expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) to the Ministry of Home Affairs in organising selection examinations for public servants.

On his part, Yoshida said the Japanese authorities, with years of experience in the field of human resources management, were keen to continue supporting Vietnam in the future.
