Deputy PM receives Japanese politician
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on January 16 for visiting Japan’s House of Representative member Kawai Katsuyuki.

At the meeting, the Deputy PM affirmed Vietnam has always valued and wished to further develop the comprehensive co-operative partnership with Japan, one of the top priorities in the nations foreign policy.
He thanked Japan for providing Official Development Assistance (ODA) to Vietnam and reiterated the country’s commitment to using the funding in the most efficient and beneficial way. He requested leaders of both the Senate and House of Representative in the Japanese parliament to continue their support of ODA provision for Vietnam.
Deputy PM Phuc further said he wishes both countries strengthen their co-ordination at international and regional forums, while boosting bilateral exchange, particularly among the young generation.
In return, Katsuyuki, who is former Chairman of the House of Representative’s Foreign Affairs Committee, rejoiced at the flourishing relations between the two countries.
He expressed hope that the two sides will fortify collaboration in the fields of economic development, trade, investment and people exchange with the goal of strengthening mutual understanding.
