Founding day of CPV marked abroad

On the occasion of the 85th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) (February 3rd, 1930 – February 3rd, 2015), many activities were organized to mark the event in foreign countries.

On February 3rd, Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore Nguyen Tien Minh with a large number of staff of the embassy and representatives of Vietnamese Business Association, overseas Vietnamese, students and Vietnam’s representative agencies in Singapore, offered flowers to President Ho Chi minh at his monument and statue in the Asian Civilisations Museum Park.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador, Nguyen Tien Minh stressed President Ho Chi Minh, who gave birth to the CPV, led the whole Party and people to overcome all difficulties and challenges and achieve victory over two protracted wars of resistance.

Before the statue of Uncle Ho, the ambassador asked staff, party members and overseas Vietnamese uphold the glorious tradition of the CPV and the nation.

On the same day, the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK and North Ireland marked the 85th founding anniversary of the CPV.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Van Thao stressed the importance of the inception of the CPV 85 years ago, for creating a new page in the country’s history. From the establishment of the Party, the movement and struggle for independence of our nation had officially entered a new era.

Ambassador Thao also said that in spite of gaining such achievements, in the short term, the CPV and Vietnam still faced many difficulties and challenges, which require the Party to continue to be a pioneer to lead the country.

On this occasion, the Party Committee of the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK admitted two new party members.

Previously, the Party Committee of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia on February 1st organized a meeting to mark the 85th anniversary of the founding of the CPV.

The event was attended by nearly 100 delegates, who are party members studying and working in Malaysia.

Speaking at the event, Party Secretary and Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Pham Cao Phong reviewed the glorious history of the CPV.

“The CPV is the Party of the people, by the people and strives for independence and freedom of the country and happiness of the people. Under the leadership of the Party, the entire nation conducted a people's war to expel the colonialists and imperialists, starting from the Xo Viet Nghe Tinh movement in 1930 to the August Revolution 1945 and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign to unite the country in spring of 1975, taking the country to a new stage of development,” said the Ambassador.

He also called upon all party members toward the CPV, the nation of Vietnam, strengthening the solidarity, sharing and supporting each other in working, studying and life, strictly abiding by the laws of Vietnam and Malaysia, building a stronger Vietnamese community in Malaysia and positively contributing to the friendly and multifaceted cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Malaysia.

On this occasion, Vietnamese Embassies in the Republic of Korea, Laos, Japan and Algeria also organized activities to mark the 85 founding anniversary of the CPV.
