President Sang awards ambassadorial title to diplomats
President Truong Tan Sang conferred the ambassadorial titles upon a number of diplomats at a ceremony in the Presidential Palace on March 6.

Congratulating the new ambassadors, President Sang noted that the promotion is the recognition of the Party and State for their contributions to foreign affairs as well as national construction and defence in general.
The State leader emphasised that the diplomatic sector should continue its leading role in protecting national interests and sovereignty, mobilising foreign resources and canvassing international support for national development.
He expressed hope that as ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, promoted diplomats would make greater efforts to serve the best interests of the country and its people.
Deputy Prime Minister cum Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh expressed his gratitude to the consideration of the Party and State for the diplomatic sector.
On behalf of the new ambassadors, Minh vowed they would do their best to fulfil the tasks entrusted by the Party and State, making active contributions to national construction and defence.
