Vietnamese Border Guard Commander visits China

Vietnamese Border Guard Commander Lieutenant General Vo Trong Viet is paying a working visit to China from March 9-15.

The commander’s visit is intended to consolidate and develop the friendship and co-operation between the border guard forces of both countries and increase the efficiency of law enforcement along shared borderlines.

The Vietnamese delegation visited the Hekou Border Guard Company and met with its officers. During which, Viet expressed his appreciation of the effective coordination between the Hekou Border Guard Company with the Border Guard Force of Lao Cai province in patrolling the border, contributing to the peace and friendship between both countries.

He said he hopes in the coming time, both forces will promote their achievements in building, managing and safeguarding the border to further nurture the Vietnam-China friendship.
