PM Nguyen Tan Dung congratulates Singaporean counterpart

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on October 3 extended his congratulations to Lee Hsien Loong on his swearing-in as Singaporean Prime Minister.

 

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh cabled a congratulatory message to the newly appointed Singaporean Minister of Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrisnan.

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s new cabinet took the oath of office before President Tony Tan at the Presidential Office Istana on October 1.

 

In his speech at the swearing-in ceremony, PM Lee said that the new cabinet looks to provide an extremely efficient government for Singapore.

 

His cabinet combines experienced with up-and-coming ministers, including young fourth-generation leaders, he said, adding that his responsibility is not only to govern the country well, but also to prepare the next generation of leaders for the country.
