Vietnam wants to cement ties with Bulgaria: PM

Vietnam wishes to bolster ties with Bulgaria in the fields of politics, diplomacy, economics, and education, and continue bilateral co-ordination at multilateral forums and international organisations, stated Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.

At his reception for Bulgarian Vice President Margarita Popova in Hanoi on November 27, the PM affirmed that her visit will be an important contribution to the two countries’ time-honoured friendship and fine co-operation.

He spoke highly of the outcomes of the talks between the guest and Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, suggesting both sides collaborate closely to effectively implement co-operative contents agreed by their senior leaders in order to lift the bilateral relations to a new height.

Vice President Margarita Popova, in turn, affirmed Bulgaria’s hope to further intensify partnership with Vietnam.

She stressed the need to help young generations understand more about the Bulgaria-Vietnam relationship.

The Vice President declared her country’s strong support for Vietnam at multi-lateral forums and international organisations and for stronger ties with the European Union, especially when Bulgaria assumes the rotation Chair of the EU in 2016-2017.

On this occasion, the Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam presented Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung with the Honorary Doctorate Degree of the national university of Bulgaria.
