MOFA meets with foreign diplomatic corps

On January 11, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs first conference of the new year with foreign diplomats, Deputy Minister Ha Kim Ngoc said he is looking forward to another successful year.

“Last year the nation had a highly prosperous year,” said Deputy Minister Ngoc, capped off by the 40th anniversary of National Reunification Day and the 70th celebration of National Day.

In 2015, Vietnam also successfully organized the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly. Meanwhile, its politics and security were kept stable while the economy remained healthy.

Ngoc thanked the foreign diplomats and their press attachés for all of the fine work they did over the past year and particularly those who helped the nation’s presence on the international stage.

I hope this will continue and the government had a proactive foreign policy, Ngoc said.

"We had had our fair share of successes thanks to the assistance of the foreign diplomatic corps timely and accurate reporting of the news," he added.
