Party leader congratulates Cuban counterpart

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has extended his warmest congratulations to Raul Castro on his re-election as First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC)’s Central Committee.

In his message, Party leader Trong congratulated the CPC on the success of the seventh Party Congress and said he firmly believes that in the light of the Party Congress’s Resolution and under the sound leadership of the CPC led by Raul Castro, the Cuban people will overcome difficulties and challenges and bring in further successes in the national construction and defence, toward the goal of building a prosperous and sustainable nation.

On the occasion, he once again reaffirmed the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s wish and determination to further strengthen and deepen the fraternal ties, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and loyal solidarity between the two Parties, States and peoples.
