Politics Academy leaders receive Lao medal
Leaders of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (NAP) on April 11th received medals from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR) and State in recognition of their contributions to training Lao cadres.

On behalf of the LPDR and State, Kikeo Khaykhamphithun, LPDR Central Committee member and Head of the LPDR Commission on Popularization and Training, presented the second-class Itxala medal to Prof. Dr. Ta Ngoc Tan, NAP Director, and the first-class labour medal to Assc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Giap, NAP Vice Director.
In his address at the medal-presenting ceremony, Kikeo Khaykhamphithun confirmed that the friendship between Vietnam and Laos had been set up and developed throughout thousands of years, becoming invaluable assets of the two nations. “The development of the good relationship between the two nations marks great contributions from NAP leaders,” he said.
Over the past years, NAP has helped the LPDR and State to train generations of key Lao cadres, building a source of qualified and politically firm managers who help well carry out the renewal process in Laos and foster the Vietnam – Laos special relationship.
During the ceremony, NAP Director Ta Ngoc Tan thanked the LPDR and Lao State for their precious affection for the academy and its leaders. He confirmed that the cooperation between the two countries over the past years was strengthened by the common efforts of the NAP staff.
In the future, the NAP will continue to carry out important projects to offer consultancy to the Vietnamese and Lao Parties, in order to foster the sustainable relationship between the two nations.
