PM backs Vietnam-Laos justice co-operation
The Vietnamese Government wholeheartedly supports co-operation between the Vietnamese and Lao Ministries of Justice, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has stated.

In particular he mentioned the sending of Vietnamese senior experts to help Laos build and improve its legal and institutional systems, while receiving Lao Minister of Justice Xaysy Santivong in Hanoi on June 1.
The Government leader underlined the significance of collaboration between the two countries’ legislative, executive and judicial bodies, particularly the comprehensive and effective co-operation between the two ministries of justice.
He said he hopes the two sides will continue to effectively implement their cooperation agreements to further the general collaborative ties between Vietnam and Laos.
The Lao minister expressed hope to receive more assistance and affiliation from the Vietnamese Government and Ministry of Justice to build a civilised and fair society.
PM Phuc hailed the outcome of the talks between Vietnamese and Lao justice ministries. He congratulated the Lao Party, Government and people on significant achievements, especially the successful organisation of the 10th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and the elections of deputies to the 8th National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils for the 2016-2020 tenure.
He said he is confident that Laos will successfully realise the Resolution adopted at the 10th National Party Congress and its socio-economic development plan in 2016-2020, under the leadership of the LPRP.
Both nations will continue to effectively implement the bilateral cooperation agreements in 2016-2020 reached by the two governments at the 38th session of the Vietnam-Laos inter-governmental committee in Vientiane in December 2015, he added.
He confirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people will make further efforts to nurture and deepen the special rapport between the two countries for the sake of their people along with peace, stability, co-operation and development in the region and beyond.
