Vietnam, Laos foster co-operation in religious affairs
Deputy Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bui Thanh Ha has stated that his committee is willing to send its senior officials to Laos to give lectures as part of training courses on religious affairs for Lao officials.

Meeting with President of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Central Committee Saysomphone Phomvihane in Hanoi on August 31, Ha said that the committee was revising and updating its instructional documents to enhance efficiency.
He proposed that the two sides continue working closely to improve the effectiveness of religious work in both countries in line with their cooperation agreement signed in 2014.
On his part, Saysomphone Phomvihane expressed his delight at the fruitful co-operation between the two bodies since 2007 and his appreciation for Vietnam’s assistance in the organisation of training courses for officials of the LFNC, as well as other Lao agencies.
He said he hoped that the Vietnamese side would continue supporting Laos with short-term and long-term personnel training in Vietnam. He also asked for the Government Committee for Religious Affairs’ help in building instructional documents suitable for Laos.
