Japanese Communist Party delegation visits Vietnam
A delegation from the Japanese Communist Party (JCP) led by JCP Vice Chairman and Director of the JCP’s International Department Ogata Yasuo visited Vietnam from February 21-23.

The delegation held a meeting with Vietnamese Politburo member and Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi on February 22.
Ogata Yasuo briefed the Vietnamese Politburo member on the results of the 27th Congress of the JCP, which developed specific plans and measures for the operation of the party in the future.
The Japanese guest said that the solidarity and traditional friendship between the two parties have been consolidated through regular talks and exchanges, contributing to fostering the mutual trust and understanding between the two Parties and nations.
Meanwhile, host Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the JCP on the success of its 27th Congress and noted that he believed that the JCP would continue to achieve more in the coming time.
He highlighted the significance of the visit to Vietnam, which demonstrated the trust and solidarity between the two Parties, while expecting more co-operation and exchanges in the future to strengthen the relations between the two Parties and peoples, as well as the strategic partnership between the two nations.
Earlier, the JCP delegation met with Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs Hoang Binh Quan and Deputy Head of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs Tran Dac Loi.
Ogata Yasuo affirmed that the International Department of the JCP would continue to co-ordinate closely with the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Affairs in a bid to effectively implement agreements between senior leaders of the two Parties, including the seventh theoretical exchange this year.
He stressed that the two Parties would continue exchanges of information and mutual support at international forums, contributing to promoting the relations between the two nations and international communist movement for peace, stability and social progress in the region and around the world.
