At a reception for the Minister of Agriculture of Nigeria Audu Innocent Ogbeh, in Hanoi, on November 17, Hue spoke highly of Nigeria’s leading position in West Africa in particular and Africa in general and its contributions to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

He said that the potential for bilateral cooperation remains vast, suggesting that the two countries elevate their relations, step up the exchange of visits at all levels, and seek specific joint projects in order to fully tap their potential.

Vietnam is highly interested in developing the bilateral trade ties and encourages the two countries’ businesspeople to invest in telecommunication, information technology, and especially agriculture, he said.

He stressed the need for both countries to create favourable business environments to attract their businesspeople to pour money into sectors of the respective country’s strength.

Minister Audu Innocent Ogbeh said that he is impressed with Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements attained under the Party’s leadership and the Government’s drastic direction.

He added that his visit aims to seek increased cooperation with Vietnam in agriculture, hoping that Vietnam would transfer farming machineries and plant varieties to his country.

He also sought cooperation opportunities with Vietnam in trade and education.

The Nigerian Government welcomes and provides all possible conditions for Vietnamese businesspeople to visit and seek long-term investment and business in Nigeria, the minister underlined.
