Politburo member Thuong made the statement while hosting a reception for a delegation of the Nur Otan Party, led by K.B. Zhumasev, Secretary of the party’s Central Committee, in Hanoi on November 20.

He expressed his belief that Kazakhstan will reap further success in its nation building and development under the leadership of the ruling Nur Otan Party and President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Thuong affirmed that the Nur Otan Party delegation’s visit and the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the CPV will help strengthen political ties between the two parties and create a significant foundation to bolster Vietnam-Kazakhstan cooperation in the time to come.

For his part, Zhumasev briefed his host on the development of Kazakhstan and the Nur Otan Party in particular.

He stressed that the country has paid heed to the acceleration of its traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnam, voicing his hope that the MoU will further promote relations between the two parties and nations in the future.

The same day, Zhumasev met with Hoang Binh Quan, member of the CPVCC and head of its Commission for External Relations.

The two sides informed each other about the current situation in each party and country, as well as discussing global issues of concern and ways to extend ties between the two parties and countries, and the development of youths.

Following the meeting, the two sides inked an MoU on cooperation between the two parties.

On November 21, the delegation was welcomed by Hoang Trung Hai, Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation between Hanoi and Astana, and discussed measures to enhance cooperation between the cities in the time ahead.
