Vietnam, Iran foster cooperation
ABO/VNA – Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Cuong stated that Vietnam treasures developing friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Iran, during talks with Iran’s Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Morteza Sarmadi in Hanoi on March 11.

Cuong expressed his delight at the positive development of bilateral ties over the past few years and suggested facilitating all-level visits and working closely together at regional and global forums.
Sarmadi, who is in Vietnam for an official visit from March 10-13, spoke highly of Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and improving stature in Southeast Asia and the world.
He wished to foster cooperation with Vietnam, especially in economy and trade.
Both sides discussed measures to lift Vietnam-Iran ties to a greater height, thus meeting the aspirations of the two countries’ leaders and people.
On the occasion, the guest invited Deputy FM Cuong to Iran to attend the seventh Vietnam-Iran political consultation.
