Deputy PM receives Thai Ambassador
ABO/VNA - Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh hosted a reception for Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Tanee Sangrat in Hanoi on June 24.

At the function, the Vietnamese leader highlighted the strong development of the bilateral relations across fields, and suggested the two sides continuously implement cooperation mechanisms, especially the joint cabinet meeting, the Vietnam-Thailand Joint Committee for Bilateral Cooperation, and political consultations between the two foreign ministries.
He applauded and expressed his support for a number of projects and events that will be hosted by the Thai Embassy in the coming time, especially a project to build a hospital for poor people in central Nghe An province, and the Thailand Festival in Vietnam.
Ambassador Tanee Sangrat showed his joy at the increasing tourism cooperation and enhanced people-to-people exchange between the two nations in recent time.
In the first five months of 2019, Vietnam received 216,000 tourists from Thailand, nearly 50 percent higher than that of the same period last year.
The diplomat said Thailand is now the 8th largest foreign investor in Vietnam and its investment to Vietnam is expected to be expanded in the coming time with a number of projects from SCG, Thaibev and Amata.
