Leaders of Tien Giang receive the delegation of Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province

ABO – Standing Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Nghia and leaders of related departments and agencies have just received the delegation of Wenzhou city, Zhejiang province (China), led by Deputy Mayor of Wenzhou City Zhijun, on December 20.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the PPC Le Van Nghia expressed his pleasure to receive the delegation; at the same time, giving an overview of the socio-economic situation, the potentials and advantages of Tien Giang province, including an overview of the situation of investment attraction and import-export between Tien Giang province and China in recent years.

Tien Giang province currently has many Chinese-invested projects, especially in Long Giang Industrial Park. Tien Giang's export turnover in 2018 to China reached USD 298 million, up 4.6 percent over the same period last year. In the first 10 months of 2019, exports reached USD 192 million with the main items being rice, seafood, garments, lighting equipment, etc...

Leaders of departments and branches in Tien Giang province also asked Deputy Mayor Yin Zhijun to give opinions to Chinese ministries and branches as well as introduce reputable businesses to Tien Giang to buy and process fruits; creating favorable conditions for the two sides' Department of Foreign Affairs to exchange and bring the delegations to visit, learn from each other's experiences, in order to enhance long-term and sustainable cooperation.

Deputy Mayor Yin Zhijun thanked for the reception of Tien Giang leaders as well as appreciated the potentials, strengths, policies and investment environment of Tien Giang province; at the same time, the two sides will promote investment promotion that they are both interested in, in the coming time.
