At the meeting, representative of the Norwegian Mission Alliance in Vietnam informed the operation situation as well as the projects of this organization which have been implemented in Vietnam including Tien Giang province.
Delegates discussed the transition of Tien Giang Capital Aid Fund for Women's Economic Development (MOM) for establishment of Mekong One-Member Ltd. Microfinance Organization the Decision No. 20 dated on June 12, 2017 on the operation of financial programs and projects of large-scale political organizations, socio-political organizations and non-governmental organizations.
Tien Giang People’s Committee and the Norwegian Mission Alliance also discussed issues related to the form of conversion and personnel when moving to microfinance institutions; conditional refunds provided by the Norwegian Mission Alliance, etc…
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Nghia thanked the Norwegian Mission Alliance for the interest and support for Tien Giang province. With the projects of the support organization in recent years, many Women's Union members have overcome difficulties and got rid of poverty.
Regarding the transformation plan of establishing Mekong One-Member Ltd. Microfinance Organization, Tien Giang People's Committee will direct provincial departments and branches to research solutions and give feedback to the Norwegian Mission Alliance in Vietnam as soonest.
