Tien Giang's industrial production index hits 12.3 percent

ABO – Accoding to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, the index of industrial production (IIP) of the province in the May this year gained the rate of 12.3 percent, compared with the last same period.

Major industries included manufacturing and processing sector increased 12.9%; water supply, waste management and treatment, waste water and waste water increased 4.1%; electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners increased 2.8%.

30/41 industrial products with production index increased over the same period, including: bottled beer increased 140.9%; large vessels carrying people and motorized goods increased 79.2%; copper pipes and pipes increased 46.3% , etc… And 11/41 industrial products with production index decreased over the same period such as combine harvesters reduced 60%, cattle meat processing machines, household decreased 20%, etc…

For the processing industry, the consumption index increased 2.4% in May and increases 9.7% over the same period last month, the accumulated increased 10.9% over the same period.
