The Central Economic Commission works with Tien Giang province

ABO - On June 29, the delegation of the Central Economic Commission, led by the Central Party Committee and Standing Deputy Head of the Central Economic Committee Cao Duc Phat, worked with the Standing Committee of the Tien Giang provincial Party Committee on the results of implementation of the Resolution No. 26-NQ /TW of the Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers and rural areas.

According to the Tien Giang Provincial Party Committee, in general, the study organization, thoroughly grasping the Resolution 26-NQ /TW was seriously and timely implemented. The propaganda of branches and levels has contributed to changing the perception of officials, Party members and people in the province on the role of agriculture, farmers and rural areas in the process of industrialization and modernization the country.

Over ten years of implementation of the Resolution 26-NQ /TW, the Tien Giang province achieved some outstanding results such as: production value of the whole industry reached over VND47 trillion; 40/144 communes were recognized as new rural standard; irrigation system was invested to ensure irrigation for more than 380 thousand hectares of plants; 57,000 households escaped poverty, etc...

In addition, the implementation of the Resolution 26-NQ / TW in the province also has shortcomings. Therefore, at the working session, the provincial leaders made recommendations to the National Assembly and the Government.

Speaking at the working session, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Central Economic Committee Cao Duc Phat highly appreciated the results achieved by the Tien Giang province in the implementation of the Resolution 26-NQ /TW. At the same time, he noted the recommendations of the Tien Giang province.
 
He said that in the long term, the agricultural sector, farmers and rural areas should be focused. Tien Giang province should continue to accelerate the implementation of the Resolution 26-NQ /TW based on goals and solutions set in the following years.

In addition, local authorities should further promote the role of farmers in the implementation of this Resolution. In addition, in the new rural construction, people need to be the subjects; the investment in new rural construction is not a budget investment program so the province encourages farmers to participate in production and construction of their countryside, etc...

Previously, on the same day, the delegation of the Central Economic Commission visited the production and business activities in My Tinh An dragon fruit cooperative (Cho Gao district); Cat Tuong agricultural products processing Co. Ltd in Tan Phuoc district and durian growing area in Tam Binh commune (Cai Lay district).
 
Here, businesses and farmers shared their experiences in production and business as well as raised difficulties and problems that should be considered and resolved by the central government.
