To boldly cancel projects to keep calling for investment, Chairman of the PPC urged

ABO - Speaking at the conference on summarizing the work of off-budget investment in 2019 on the afternoon of December 16, Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee (PPC) Le Van Huong asked departments, branches and localities to review and boldly cancel projects to continue calling for investment.

After reviewing, the Tien Giang Department of Planning and Investment and localities sets up the progress of projects for the PPC to monitor.

Regarding professional guidance, the Tien Giang Department of Planning and Investment prepares content to guide cadres and civil servants in calling for investment and project implementation.

For An Hoa residential project, My Tho city People's Committee establishes a clearance and compensation committee to implement the project.

Comrade Le Van Huong also emphasized that in 2020, the procedures must be completed (including planning, investor selection for the Hung Vuong road project and two sides of the road residential area; in 2021, the clearance and compensation will be carried out.

Local leaders raised difficulties and obstacles in calling for investment in projects such as: the clearance work is still slow; there is not actively create clean land fund; the list of projects calling for investment faces difficulties, etc...

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in 2019, the province attracted 25 projects with a total newly registered investment capital of over 13,320 billion VND.

Although this was lower than 3 projects in comparison with 2018, the registered investment capital was 3.36 times higher than the same period.

There are 3 registered projects to increase capital by 494.5 billion VND, increasing the total attracted investment capital in 2019 to reach over 13,820 billion VND, up 85% in comparison with 2018, etc...
