Tien Giang General Hospital breaks ground

A ground breaking ceremony was held on February  7 by the Tien Giang province People's Committee.

Tien Giang General Hospital is located in Phuoc Thanh commune, My Tho city with the size of 1,000 beds, 10 hectares, 10 floors, including 5 main functional blocks. The total construction cost is VND 2,350 billion. The duration of the project is five years from 2017 to 2021.

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang People's Committee said that this is the largest project funded by the State to support Tien Giang province from government bonds. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on resources to implement the project management in accordance with the law on construction investment, ensuring the quality of works and putting projects into operation on schedule. The Provincial People's Committee will direct the monitoring and inspection to achieve the progress and quality assurance according to the design.

With modern medical equipment and infrastructure, Tien Giang General Hospital will implement well the project of hospital - satellite department of the Ministry of Health, to meet the demand for intensive care and health care for people in Tien Giang province and neighboring provinces.
