General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong works with leaders of Tien Giang province

On March 16, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the delegation of the Central has just worked with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee and many deparments, agencies of the province.

At the working session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Danh reported the result of implementing the political assignment in 2015 and many first months of 2016.

In 2015, Tien Gang province’s economic growth increased by 9 percent (compared with the resolution) and it was the highest in the last 5 years. The rate of economic growth rate in 5 years (from 2011 to 2015) increased by an average of 7.5 percent per year, to be higher than the average of the Mekong Delta (incresed by 6.45 percent).

The Party building task and political system has always been concerned by party committee levels, promoting the solidarity and democracy as well as determining to implement the proposed resolution successfully.

He also proposed the Central to support investment’s capital for 5 urgent projects and suggested that the Central to approve Tien Giang’s establishment scheme of coastal economic zone and added to the planning of coastal economic zone country.

Representatives of ministries and central agencies remarked, suggested and proposed implementation solutions to support Tien Giang province’s development such as: Promoting regional links, setting up the strategic plan of overall socio-economic development of the province, to invest in human resource’s development, implementing solutions to leverage and exploit economic advantages and the province's geographical location to restructure appropriated economic, accelerating the process of building new rural, etc ...

Working with key officials of the province, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong applauded the Party, government and people of Tien Giang province attempted to try and overcome difficulties and achieve positive results in socioeconomic development for improving people's life.

General Secretary desired the Party Committee of Tien Giang province to continue promoting the spirit of unity, determination for implementing actively the Party Congress’s resolution and the resolution of the recent 12th National Party Congress. Tien Giang province had to regularly review and update the situation to supplement and adjust the plan to implement promptly and effectively.

For the the ongoing drought and saltwater intrusion affected production and people's life, the provinces needed to carry out urgent and fierce solutions for anti-drought and salinity, overcoming difficulties caused by drought and salinity, ensuring water for production and daily life.

General Secretary noted Tien Giang should concentrate on removing obstacles and difficulties for businesses, encouraging exports, reforming administration, improving the business environment to attract and call for investment.

He stressed that Tien Giang needed to lead and direct effectuating successfully election of deputies to the National Assembly and all-level People’s Councils to ensure democracy, quality and prescribed by law.
He believed that the Party, government and people of Tien Giang province should constantly promote resilient revolutionary tradition as well as gained achivements in the innovation to continue develop steadily.
