The VFFCC President made the statement while chairing a conference in Hanoi on February 22 to review the emulation movement in 2016 of the VFFCC and five sociopolitical organisations, including the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, the Vietnam War Veterans’ Association, the Vietnam Farmers’ Association, the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Addressing the conference, VFFCC President Nhan emphasised that 2016 was a meaningful year with two major events, namely the 12th National Party Congress and the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure. The emulation bloc of the VFFCC and five other organisations made great contributions to important events in the country.

In addition, the year 2016 saw natural disasters causing severe consequences, and the whole nation joined efforts and united together to overcome all difficulties through numerous emulation and reward movements, added the VFFCC President.

He urged the five sociopolitical organisations to proactively co-ordinate with the VFFCC to contribute their ideas to legal documents related to the interests of the people, particularly the Laws on Organisation and Labour.

VFFCC President Nhan asked the relevant agencies to hold numerous forums on creative entrepreneurship for young people in the coming time.

Also at the conference, the VFFCC and five sociopolitical organisations signed a mutual agreement on emulation for 2017.
