Leader of Cai Be district surveyed the status of landslide sites

The delegation of Cai Be district led by Secretary of Cai Be district Party Committee Pham Minh Tri has just surveyed the status of landslide in My Duc Dong commune. Chairman of Cai Be district People's Committee Nguyen Quoc Thanh attended this survey.

Currently, My Thien canal, located in My Duc Dong commune, has many landslide areas, including large areas of landslides which cause loss of land, affecting the production and living of people. In addition, there are many cracks in the area including many very dangerous vaulted landslide to threaten the road inter-communal My Duc Dong - Hoa Khanh commune.

In the sort time, the Cai Be District People's Committee instructed the local authority to support the people to create temporary roads and to prohibit signboards of landslides as well as mobilize people to donate land to move the dyke. The district People's Committees and functional agencies would study and select appropriate measures to reinforce, overcome as well as prevent erosion in accordance with each location and carry out as soon as possible.

As reported, Cai Be district has nearly 30 landslides including ten serious landslides. According to statistics, from 2010 to now, the district has processed over 350 landslides and relocated seven dikes with a total length of over 20km, estimated to cost nearly VND74 billion.
